Military Intervention is Necessary for Iranians
The LSSA supports efforts aimed at neutralizing the military and security. structures of the Islamic Republic. The path to a free Iran belongs to the Iranian people, but intervention to dismantle the machinery of terror and repression that has denied them that opportunity for decades is an essential step toward that goal. Any. action concerningIran must distinguish between the regime and the Iranian people.

No Deal with the Islamic Republic
Various reputable news sources have reported that a potential agreement between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran has been “largely negotiated.” While the certainty and durability of such a deal remain contested, the Lion and Sun Student Association unequivocally opposes any agreement with the Islamic Republic.

The Lion and Sun Student Association (LSSA) is a University of Toronto student organization founded by Iranian-Canadian students committed to advocating for a free, democratic, and secular Iran. United by a shared belief in freedom, human rights, and the separation of religion and state, LSSA supports Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi's vision for a democratic transition in Iran and amplifies the voices of Iranians fighting against the Islamic Republic's repression. Rooted in 47 years of Iranian resistance and inspired by the Lion and Sun Revolution, the association raises awareness of human rights abuses in Iran, builds solidarity within the Iranian-Canadian student community, and advocates for Iran's territorial integrity, civic equality, and the right of the Iranian people to freely determine their own future.
